Design

Not long after Category 5 Hurricane Irma completely devastated the British Virgin Islands, RWB was enlisted to rebuild this family retreat. With few local resources, an intermediate power grid, and almost no cellular service, RWB turned international to complete this job for one of our favorite South Florida clients. This striking contemporary residence boasts a brilliant architectural design, using the finest materials from around the world to frame and enhance the surrounding Caribbean landscape. Unbiased colors blend seamlessly with the natural materials infused throughout the estate. A magnificent view of the sea and distant islands is magnified on all parts of this property.

Build

This estate was built on top of a cliff, over a private beach. The canopied entrance opens to a double-height formal living room, which leads to the informal outside covered living and dining areas, complete with wet bar and built-in stainless-steel barbecue. In total, there are four well-equipped bedroom suites. A modern open office area is situated with views looking out to the ocean. Accessed from a path leading upward from the swimming pool terrace are the two guest casitas.

Live

Patrons enjoy an infinity-edged curved swimming pool with inset steps to one side and panoramic views of the Channel Islands and Atlantic Ocean beyond. The estate gardens were planted to form a gentle, natural backdrop on this property. Patrons have a path leading down to the secluded beach below, known as Casey Bay on Virgin Gorda.

Tesimonials

“Listing and marketing a high-end new construction property can be challenging, however, with Robert W. Burrage and his team at RWB Construction Management our experience was absolutely seamless...His contribution to the efforts of turning a potential Buyer to a happy homeowner was invaluable. We look forward to working with him on future projects.”
